I like old people. There's something inherent cool about having survived long enough to develop wrinkles. If you manage to reach such an age then there are stories embedded within every inch of your being. Of course the young have tales to tell as well. Basically, I like watching people. I don't think I've reached stalker level yet, but I thoroughly enjoy just sitting and watching people go by. Here's a collection of images I captured while doing just that in Istanbul.
A park bench next to the fountain between the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia was my favorite perch, but I found quite a few great faces while walking the city too. Keep your eyes open for the honey salesman, Istanbul's greatest mustache and a very dapper fish griller.
